Justin Bieber Supporting British Christmas Choir

Justin Bieber has thrown his support behind a charity single within a bid to assist it snag the U.K. Christmas # 1, although he is its main competitor.

The Canadian Love Yourself sheet music star is leading the way to the end-of-year accolade together with his song Love Yourself, but after hearing how close the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS (National Health Service) Choir should be to overtaking him featuring its track A Bridge Over You, Justin encouraged his fans to assist out.

"I'm hearing this UK Christmas race is close...though the @Choir_NHS single is designed for charity. So..." he soon started on Twitter on Wednesday (23Dec15), before adding: "for seven days it's ok to not be #1. Let's perform the right thing & enable them to win. It's Christmas. @Choir_NHS good luck".

The 21-year-old Justin Bieber then shared one of the links to the choir's website, where people can get the track.

"This is exactly what it's all about," he continued. "Merry Christmas".

The choir is comprised of NHS staff from two boroughs inside English capital, including doctors, physios, porters and nurses, and also the members are shocked at how tightly fought the battle for Christmas # 1 has become between them plus the international pop star.

"I can't believe we're actually from the charts competing for # 1," choir member Liz Steele told BBC Newsbeat on Tuesday (22Dec15).

"We've got a bit of pretty tons of competition so to have this position is amazing... anything might happen."

At a final count, the choir is merely 662 sales behind Justin, who happens to be holding on to your top spot with Love Yourself, and it has a further two tracks within the top 10.
