The Hills singer increased for Favourite Male Artist and Favourite Album for Beauty Behind the Madness, together with Favourite Breakout Artist, Favourite R&B Artist and Favourite Song for Can’t Feel My Face.
The awards also celebrate TV and film in addition to music, and Dwayne Johnson manages the acting categories with nods across three different genres, in movies for Favourite Action Movie Actor, in TV for Favourite Cable TV Actor, plus digital for Favourite Social Media Celebrity.
Avengers: Age of Ultron, Furious 7, Inside Out, Jurassic World and Pitch Perfect 2 will battle against each other for Favourite Movie, while Channing Tatum, Chris Pratt, Johnny Depp, Robert Downey, Jr. and Will Smith are up for Favourite Actor, and Anne Hathaway, Melissa McCarthy, Meryl Streep, Sandra Bullock and Scarlett Johansson will fight it for Favourite Actress. In the TV categories, three shows created and/or compiled by Shonda Rhimes have grabbed nominations: Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, and How to Get Away with Murder. Long-running medical drama Grey’s Anatomy takes the title to the most-nominated TV series with six nominations including Favourite TV Show.
With incorporating the digital categories, this season fans should have 65 categories to cast their votes in. Voting begins on 3 November (15) and officially ends on 3 December (15).
The 2016 PCAs will air live in the Microsoft Theatre in L.A. Live in Los Angeles on 6 January (16) with former Glee star Jane Lynch on hosting duties.
